I read your column often, but the one in the Vienna Observer made me stop and think. I don't know if you recognize my name or not, but my daughter, Brandy Smith, was shot to death last July. I was also shot in the head and beaten. All the doctors said there was no way I could live with the severity of my injuries. But I told them God was not going to take me, because He needed me to look after Brandy's 3 small children. Things have been very hard and I am still trying to put the pieces together, but I pray each day for God's guidence. He has a purpose for me. I just got to get the pieces together right.
